Are you an experienced and qualified Financial Controller looking for a broad-ranging role in a boutique and dynamic investment environment?

Ideally with an immediate start, this exciting opportunity offers a blend of Investor Relations, Financial Control and FCA compliance.

Working collaboratively with the CEO and CFO, you will maintain regular contact with all investors, alongside overseeing the firm’s financial management and adherence to FCA regulations.

What you’ll be doing day to day:

  • Leading in the management of day to day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Overseeing budgeting, financial forecasting and cash flow management
  • Developing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard financial assets
  • Managing the accounting and investment records of Investor network and funds
  • Leading on the selection of a new accounting system and implement the migration of records from Excel to the chosen system
  • Investor relations – first point of contact in supporting individual investors with periodic reporting
  • Leading on the organisation of events for investors – 1 large business event & 3 large social events per year
  • Acting as first point of contact for the FCA ensuring the firm adheres to all regulatory requirements and become appointed with the FCA as the SMF16 and SMF17
  • Implementing and maintaining a comprehensive compliance programme
  • Conducting regular audits of internal processes and procedures to identify and mitigate risks

Requirements:

  • Broad experience of fund management
  • Professional accounting qualification – ACA, ACCA, CIMA preferred
  • Awareness of and willingness to learn FCA regulations and become the Compliance and MLRO Officer
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with experience in financial reporting and budget management
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain financial and administrative systems and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Clear leadership capabilities and team management experience
  • Experience of choosing and installing a new accounting system
  • Strong interpersonal skills
