Our client is a senior figure operating across public-facing, commercial and personal spheres and is seeking a highly capable and trusted Private Business PA. This is a unique and fascinating opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and autonomy in their work.

Working pattern: 2.5 days per week |1 day per week in the office (N1)

What you’ll be doing day to day

  • Overseeing and coordinating an exceptionally busy diary across multiple locations
  • Acting as a key liaison between different offices and external stakeholders
  • Managing complex UK and international travel logistics
  • Handling bookkeeping, budgeting and financial reconciliations (with Accountant)
  • Liaising with accountants, lawyers, financial advisers and pension providers
  • Overseeing expense allocation across multiple interests
  • Setting up and maintaining efficient filing systems (electronic and paper)
  • Managing contact databases and seasonal correspondence
  • Supporting client relationship management, invoicing and contract standardisation
  • Working closely with a charitable arts organisation on fundraising initiatives
  • Managing household administration for multiple properties, including suppliers, insurance and maintenance
  • Coordinating personal commitments, holidays, anniversaries and family logistics
  • Keeping IT systems, desks and project tracking organised and up to date

The skills you’ll bring

  • Proven experience providing high-level PA support at senior level
  • Strong financial understanding and familiarity working with accounting packages (or happy to learn)
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • High level of digital competence and systems confidence
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • A calm, proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Discretion, professionalism and absolute confidentiality
  • Interest in science-led or innovation-focused sectors (highly advantageous)
  • Degree-educated or equivalent professional experience
