Are you an experienced events professional with excellent virtual / digital events skills who also has experience of line managing colleagues?

Would you enjoy working in a highly professional environment, acting as an Events ambassador to both internal and external stakeholders?

A financial membership association is looking for a positive and flexible Events Manager to work with the Director and senior colleagues to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of a first class programme of events.

What you’ll be doing day to day: 

  • Managing the end-to-end planning and delivery of events, both digital and physical
  • Line managing 4 junior team members, including regular performance reviews
  • Monitoring and enhancing the user experience / effectiveness of digital platforms
  • Managing event budgets and monthly P&L reports
  • Providing support and input into event agenda, content and research
  • Managing sponsors and the delivery of their benefits
  • Monitoring use of CRM during the event management process
  • Ensuring delivery of events in line with GDPR policy
  • Conducting thorough post-event debriefs and evaluation
  • Attending and supporting the set-up and delivery of events
  • Supporting the Director with the compilation of data for reporting

The skills and experience you need to bring: 

  • 4-6 years’ event management experience
  • Comprehensive experience of delivering digital events including webinars, webcasts and virtual conferences
  • Strong experience of the end-to-end management of events including conferences and dinners
  • Experience of managing teams to deliver successful projects
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, writing and proofreading skills
  • Persuasive communication and strong presentation skills
  • A calm and logical approach
  • Professional, collaborative style and a strong work ethic
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience of working with a CRM system, Event Management system and virtual event platforms

N.B. Occasional UK travel will be required when delivering physical events
